En adhesión al Blog Action Day 2008, hago este posteo sobre Pobreza.
No quedan dudas que la pobreza es un fenómeno complejo multicausal creciente. Su inclusión dentro de las problemáticas socio-ambientales no es casual ni forzada. Al respecto, el último informe del PNUMA de evaluación ambiental integral conocido como GEO 4 dedica el capítulo 7 a esta cuestión, enfatizando la vulnerabilidad de las personas ante los problemas ambientales.
Este capítulo identifica los retos y las oportunidades para mejorar el bienestar humano. Muestra cómo diferentes grupos de personas se enfrentan a riesgos desiguales, cómo algunos estados exportan la vulnerabilidad a otros, el potencial de confl icto o cooperación y los impactos de los peligros naturales. Invertir en tecnología puede reducir la vulnerabilidad, pero en ocasiones aparece la necesidad de "corregir el paradigma de desarrollo centrado en la tecnología". El alivio de la pobreza es fundamental para reducir la vulnerabilidad, y el acceso equitativo a los mercados globales, la posesión asegurada y la protección del sustento son algunas formas de alcanzar tal objetivo. El control mejorado, la aplicación de las medidas de control y la concesión de poder a los más vulnerables proporcionándoles información y facilitándoles la participación en la toma de decisiones son pasos fundamentales. Pero la reducción de la vulnerabilidad no depende sólo de las políticas ambientales. Se puede ayudar a los más vulnerables de una gran variedad de formas, por ejemplo:
- integrando la gestión desde el nivel local al nivel global respaldando las medidas de gestión a todos los niveles;
- integrando las políticas de desarrollo, salud y medioambientales;
- haciendo que el alivio de la pobreza susceptible al género sea un aspecto central de las políticas;
- haciendo que el medio ambiente y la igualdad sean elementos centrales de los sistemas de mercado mundiales;
- reforzando el apoyo fi nanciero y técnico, así como el acceso al aprendizaje;
- mejorando la transferencia de tecnología relevante;
- evaluando los impactos de las políticas sugeridas primero sobre los más vulnerables y mejorando la igualdad en términos
de acceso a los recursos, el capital y el conocimiento.

La organización del Congreso no estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias. Demasiadas desprolijidades que opacaron el desarrollo del evento. Desde la desprolijidad del proceso de inscripción de los participantes, la mala atención, y la falta de criterio operativo para resolver la gran cantidad de imprevistos, todo sumó para que que este congreso no cumpliera con mis expectativas.
No entiendo como luego de organizar ocho veces las jornadas nacionales y tres veces el congreso internacional, la gente de ADBIA aún comete estas torpezas organizativas.
Tampoco encontré muchas cosas nuevas en lo referido a enseñanza de la biología (nada, para ser más sincero). Más de lo mismo. Mucha mediocridad en las presentaciones. Falta de sustento pedagógico en los fundamentos. Investigaciones tiradas de los pelos, etc.
Lo único rescatable, las ponencias que llevamos nosotros ;)

Junto con la Lic. Alejandra Carbajo presentamos el trabajo "Cambio Climático, Ozono y Educación Ambiental Popular" que da cuenta de los importantes resultados obtenidos en un Seminario de Extensión Universitaria desarrollado el año pasado en la UNPSJB con educadores, con quienes se trabajó en diferentes talleres de educación ambiental popular para la sensibilización de unos 300 niños y jóvenes sobre las problemáticas de la capa de ozono y el cambio climático.
En aquella ocasión implementamos el Pack Educativo Acción Ozono elaborado por la UNEP-DTIE OzonAction Branch France, resignificándolo a nuestro contexto con la activa participación de educadores.

Debo admitir que la mentira y la trampa me revuelven el estómago. Por eso es que los políticos de mi país me causan particular repulsión. Me da mucha bronca que tomen por estúpido, que me mientan en la cara como si no me diera cuenta. Más bronca me da que haya una mayoría que asienta pasiva y temerosamente cada barbaridad del gobierno. El "modelo Chubut" me causa una gran indignación, sobre todo porque soy chubutense, vivo en Chubut y sé que es una gran farsa. Pocos se atreven a decirlo y los medios de comunicación locales se encargan de disfrazarlo con bombos y platillos. Es una vergüenza. Por eso es que cuando leí el artículo de Juan Pablo Morales en La Nación del sábado pasado, me dio mucha satisfacción que al menos un periodista se atreva a una lectura crítica de la realidad. Argentinos, por favor les pido que no compren espejitos de colores!!

Organizacion Venezolana de Jovenes para las Naciones Unidas y sus amigos , realizaron un momento de arte y expresion ambiental; el 6 de julio el grupo de jóvenes de la OVJNU y dos amigos especiales se reunieron y realizaron un momento donde la técnica del maquillaje y la interpretación con la pachamama, recreamos a la criaturas del bosque, protectores de la naturaleza y la conservación.




En esta jornada se realizo un compartir y convivir , el objeto de la actividad es el arte como vehículo a promover el contacto y la conservación a los jóvenes y adolescentes
dentro del proyecto Joven GEO .



Nos pareció un bello momento y queremos compartir con el mundo nuestro Día Ambiente e Interculturalidad.

Gracias a Julio Cobos, Vice-Presidente de la Nación Argentina, volví a creer en la democracia. Su voto en el Senado por las tan cuestionadas retenciones K fue muy polémico. Le mereció el odio del oficialismo K pero el apoyo de un pueblo que está cansado de la prepotencia y de la mentira como formas de gobierno. Los medios de comunicación dijeron de todo al respecto, pero me dejaron especialmente reflexionando algunas columnas de opinión de Joaquín Morales Solá, que aquí comparto.
